Speaker: Stephen Baker (Liverpool, England)

Date: 10/10/2026.

Location: Cooroy Gospel Hall (Cooroy, QLD, Australia)

In this message, the speaker explains that 2 Peter 2 warns us about false teachers who distort God’s Word, deny essential truths about the Lord Jesus, and seek personal gain rather than the spiritual well-being of others. He emphasises the importance of testing everything we hear against Scripture, including teaching from the internet, YouTube, and AI. Through the examples of the fallen angels, Noah, and Lot, he shows that God judges sin but also knows how to preserve His people. The speaker reminds us that, even in a world full of deception and ungodliness, we can trust in God’s protecting care. The key verse, 2 Peter 2:9, assures us that the Lord knows how to deliver the godly from trials and reserve the unrighteous for judgment. He concludes by encouraging us to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
